I have been missing in action lately. January 8th was my last post and a lot has happened since then. First and most important, meet the newest member of the family, Betty! She is my 9 week old black lab puppy, Born Feb. 23, 2011. Cant wait for the years to come with this beautiful little pup.
This week is my last week of my college career and it cant get here any faster. I cant wait to get the burden of school out of the way. I often wonder why I broke the bank and entered a University, when every creative director I cross paths with tells me that a college degree doesn't mean shit in the design world. I could have avoided a lot of pain and torture with an out dated program. However school opened a lot of networking doors for me and has allowed me to meet a lot of great designers. Lets just hope my portfolio will land me a studio job so I can quit freelancing like a designer fresh out of school with his head cut off. Its too easy to be taken advantage of as a student designer trying to build a portfolio.
Here is a little beer label and packaging project for one of my senior classes.
I may be done with school but it feels like this is just the beginning. There is a long road ahead before I can feel like it was all worth it. I guess getting a descent salary and building a portfolio of award winning work that is recognized in good light by the design community is my next stop. So it continues...

Haven't had a lot to post on here lately, I have been pretty slammed finishing up the 11/12 DPS Skis product catalog. But here is some eye candy I snapped with my Canon 7D of a visitor we had living in our back yard for about 4 months or so before winter rolled in and she bailed. Tina was quite a treat to watch.
